- Synthetic ingredients of all types, even synthetic vitamins and minerals (Instead, opt for the most genuine kind of nutrients you can get: from wholesome, raw vegan foods!)
Instead, focus on:
- High fiber foods from whole grains like barley, oats, and spelt
- Organic, non-GMO foods from ethical businesses or local farmers
- Healthy fats from plant-based oils such as coconut or almond oils
- Plenty of organic, leafy greens like kale and spinach
- Low-glycemic index foods like dates and raisins
- Vegan protein sources such as hemp seeds, lentils, and legumes
